My wife, Allie, and I flew to Charlotte and proceeded to Hickory Used Car Superstore to pick up a beautiful 2021 Ford Mustang. She had negotiated a fair price with Neil, stress free, and fully transparent, over the phone. When arriving at the store we were greeted by Neil Bruno, and 4-5 other sales people who offered us refreshment and ushered us inside where there was much activity. As the husband waiting I talked to 2 others who were in the process of buying automobiles, each who were actually enjoying the experience. After being introduced by Neil to Rich, the paperwork man, she wrapped everything up in less than an hour. She had negotiated a full tank of gas, and Neil had the car detailed perfectly. We drove off for a great steak dinner at locally owned Angus Steak House, that had been recommended by the nice man, Glenn, that had been hired to retrieve us from the airport. In the process of this mustang lover buying her next one we ran across 2 unscrupulous dealers that tacked on money for things we did not want. Neil, when asked to, immediately texted a purchase sheet that did not change! So nice to find!

It was a great experience from Start to finish. All of my questions were answered and I was more than pleased Nick do a great job!

Salesman was friendly and not over bearing. They worked with me till we found something in my price range, and gave me a fair trade in. Didn't get a gas fill up or a rear wiper blade that was ripped and antenna missing, was sold as is. The vehicle was in good shape otherwise. I would definitely look here again in the future.

I want to start my review off saying this place has nice cars and even nicer people. My experience before getting on the lot all the way to purchasing a car was great. The issue is the aftermath. Unfortunately due to me being 18, no co-signer and my employment history being quite short due to just had moving out to NC not even a month prior, I very obviously got denied a loan for the vehicle I wanted. After that happened I will say I was very disappointed as anyone probably would be but they found a vehicle that I did get approved for and I went with it. I went through with purchasing and signing papers, including AS IS ones. They even gave me quite a nice discount which I do appreciate, but the more I think about it the more I feel like it was to ‘cover’ or discount for the inevitable fix I was going to have to deal with, either way, a discount is a discount I guess. I had to register the car is SC (doesn’t need to pass safety admission) which also leads me to believe that car was intentionally picked for that reason but again, just an assumption. I didn’t really look at the car because it needed to get taken to be detailed and I wasn’t sure what exactly to look for, now thinking back if I just took a look inside I would’ve seen the very obvious check engine light sitting on. I did ask my salesman if there was anything wrong with the car and he very confidently said no, very naively as a first time buyer, I took his word for it. Now by this point after the car got detailed I had just finished my paperwork and the car was officially mine and mine to deal with as well. I got in the car, turned it on and already I’ve got some tire warning and a check engine light, I now know the CEL is due to a catalytic converter issue which is going to cost me up to if not more than a thousand dollars, so that discount doesn’t really feel like a discount anymore haha. I’m upset about this but you still have a job to do as a buyer to make sure you’re not buying a bucket because their job is to sell you a car, wether it’s got issues or not. I would like to say I’d buy from here again but not without going with someone and definitely now not without getting the vehicle im interested in looked at by a professional first which I should’ve done with this one as well but again, first time buying by myself, I didn’t really know all the steps I needed to take and after mentioning my age, I’m sure they knew that very well too. But besides that, wonderful place and people!

I find it disappointing or even bordering on unethical the policy of the Hickory Used Car Superstore dealership (associated with Everitt) on deposits placed to hold a car with intention to buy. About a month ago my friend made an offer on a 2020 Subaru that had already been on the lot for a month. An amount was agreed upon, dependent on the trade-in offer for her car. To hold the car, they requested and she provided a $100 deposit. One day later, she presented her car for assessment/offer. A deal was struck, including her trade in. The finance department tried but failed to obtain financing for her- this was the same day she brought in her trade, and 1 day after placing the deposit. The only reason she did not buy the car was failure to obtain financing. Yet in-spite of this reason and the brevity of the hold, this dealership chose to keep her deposit. They have every right to do so, and I have every right to warn potential customers what kind of management you will be dealing with. That car remains for sale on their lot today. I can't help but wonder how many offers on the car they received but had to turn down during the 24 hours that they held the car. Likely zero. Had she obtained financing but then backed out, that would be a different thing. Our sales rep Nick was fantastic to deal with and has no ability to change this seedy policy. One star given due to our sales rep, and one star for the efforts of the finance department. Zero stars for management and for common sense. There are plenty of alternatives for finding a used car- I recommend taking them.

Great experience! Alberto was great with us. We watched the Argentina soccer game at the same time. Daniel the financial guy also treated us really well. We got the car we wanted a good payment and price. We highly recommend them.

I highly recommend them! First time buying a car on my own and my credit was not so great either. Will was super awesome to work with and made the process so easy!! I purchased a 2019 Nissan Altima with a great price and very decent mileage. They have tons of options at a great deal! I’d definitely go to them in the future!

I picked out the vehicle I wanted and told him what I would give them out the door, he went to Bruce (the manager) and they made it happen. Rich (the sales floor manager) was very helpful also.
